Zambian Members Intensify Missionary Work

Lusaka, Zambia — Missionary work in Africa has been thriving, ever since the launch of the new Mahdi has Appeared Satellite Channel broadcasting to all of Africa. The African members have been very active. In accordance with the ongoing works of the African members of AROPL, we find that they are following in the divine legacy of former emissaries sent by the Prophet Mohammed. In his earnestness and commitment to God’s mission, Prophet Mohammed sent out invitation letters to all the major empires of the age, welcoming them to become subjects of God’s kingdom on Earth. This included Heraclius, the Emperor of the Byzantine Empire, Chosroes the King of Persia, Muqawqis of Egypt, and the Chief of the Copts. The Prophet even sent physical delegations. One such envoy was sent with his cousin and close companion Jaffar ibn Abu Muttalib to Abyssinia, modern-day Ethiopia in Africa.

Jaffar, a firm believer in God who rejected the idolatry of his age, was sent with a letter sealed by the Prophet in the name of God, to invite the reigning King Najashi, or Negus of Ethiopia, and his people to the call of truth — to reaffirm that there is only one true, absolute God. He came to give glad tidings of Mohammed’s rise as his only representative and guardian of the faith, enthused with the spirit of God from the lands of Arabia.

“[Za’d Al-Ma’ad 3/60]”

The other important reminder to Negus was that likewise, Prophet Jesus, the son of Mary, was of this blessed rank — recognized as such by the Abyssinians. Jesus had spoken about the coming of another messenger, Ahmed, the praiseworthy, or ‘the Comforter’ who would guide the people of the world into the whole truth, and who was promised to come in forthcoming generations.

“[Za’d Al-Ma’ad 3/60]”

“If you love me, you will obey my commandments. Then I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth.” (Bible, Book of John, Chapter 14, Verses 15-17)

The King Negus, blessed with wisdom and full of faith in the men of God, recognized the humility and penitence of the Muslim delegates, and that they were truly sent by a Prophet of God with a redemptive spirit.

The King began to realize how the new faith had taught the Muslims to overturn their previous tribal, selfish ways, and to put humanity first. He saw the benefit of selflessness — granting full rights to the oppressed and orphans, widows, and avoiding adultery, lewdness, and falsehood. Negus’ heart was at peace as he reflected how these teachings mirrored those of Jesus — his devotion and obedience to God’s eternal message. He recognized, from both the character of the emissaries and the divine teachings revealed in the Quran, that they reflected the Gospel scriptures. Negus reaffirmed this eternal truth: that just as Jesus was God’s servant, prophet, and spirit of truth, so too was Prophet Mohammed. Both were appointed by their predecessors, by a holy will and testament — like Jesus who came forth with the scroll of Isaiah to declare his divine mission.

Our brother Jaffrey in Lusaka, Zambia, has recognized a clear, unbroken chain of prophet messengers sent by the one true God — from Adam to Jesus to Mohammed. Jaffrey feels a clear imperative: now that he has accepted faith in Aba Al-Sadiq as the Riser of Truth, he has a blessed duty to spread this call to all colors and creeds in his community today.

We spoke directly to Jaffrey, and he gave some clear answers to the DJS Magazine team.

What is your culture and religious background?

I am a Bemba by tribe, the largest kingdom and culture of the people of Zambia and Congo. Growing up, I was brought up as a Sunni Muslim, Hanafi in sect.

What made you realize your path was misguided? What led you to seek another way?

At first, I believed I was upon the truth until my soul found distress from many unanswered questions. My love for God held no bounds. I embarked on a journey of seeking knowledge — in the process of studying Islamic studies, I found contradictions and realized how programmed people were. I began analyzing the Shia groups critically, which revealed a true route to follow in the wake of the Prophet’s death. I held the view that only God can appoint His successor. This led to people considering me misguided, isolating and slandering me.

“O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will…” (Qur’an, Chapter 3 (Al-Imran), Verse 26)

During this time, I was appointed as imam of my local mosque. But once my stance became known, they mocked and plotted against me. Still, I stood firm and kept searching for God’s truth.

Any dreams or visions or synchronicities that helped you on your path to faith in Aba Al-Sadiq?

One night, I had a dream where I was taken to a mountain in the west where the sun sets. A man opened the mountain and led me in. Inside, people dressed in black welcomed me. One man, their leader, gave me tea and soup and told me to sit.

“When the black flags come from Khurasan, go to them, for among them is the khalifah of Allah, the Mahdi.” (Musnad Ahmed ibn Hanbal, Ahmed ibn Hanbal, Vol. 5, p. 277)

The man told me it was time to help him in his mission. I woke up and later saw a TikTok video from the AROPL page, where I recognized this same man — Aba Al-Sadiq, the Riser of Truth. It was an overwhelming synchronicity. I dove into the Mahdi Has Appeared YouTube Channel and studied the Divine Mystery dialogues.

Through outreach, UK brother James provided me with books like The Goal of the Wise, Book of Monotheism, and The Mahdi Manifesto, which solidified my belief. I then pledged my allegiance.

What have you done since finding the call? Why do you share posters and placards of the Mahdi?

I could no longer work in mainstream Islam. It represented a covenant broken by the killing of the Prophet’s family.

“The people when they killed Al-Hussein, God the Exalted commanded an angel to call: ‘O oppressive nation that has killed the descendants of its Messenger, may God not give you success.’” (Al-Kafi, Al-Shaikh Al-Kulayni, Vol. 4, p. 169)

I quit my mosque role and began spreading the message of Imam Mahdi, both publicly and online. I opened a center and school to teach that Religion is a Man — here to establish unity and harmony for all humanity. I’ve guided many locally and internationally to recognize the call.

What motivates you to raise the black banners of the Mahdi ?

I’m inspired by the zeal of the Qaim’s supporters, working day and night to spread divine knowledge and hope. My love for Allah and His messenger has borne fruit.

“Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” (Sahih Muslim, Muslim ibn Al-Hajjaj Al-Naysaburi, Hadith 2564)

How have your family, friends, and work colleagues reacted?

Many now consider me misguided. They tell others to avoid me. Only my mother has stood by my side, supporting me emotionally and financially.

How do you focus your street dawah? What are your long-term goals?

My street dawah is productive and promising — reaching people from all walks of life. My goal is to teach 500+ people this message across Zambia and neighboring countries. Eventually, I hope to guide enough believers to make hijra and join the Qaim’s divine community.

Have you tried helping people of other faiths to find this path?

Zambia is a Christian-majority country, with minorities in Islam, Hinduism, African traditions, and others. My intention is to unite people under the Divine Just State. I believe in equality under the true Adam of time. I hope to influence Christian leaders, engage with agnostics and businesspeople, and show that humanity must come first.

How is your dawah received by Islamists, the government, and authorities?

Local Islamists reject the call and slander us without clear evidence. In the future, I hope to establish a central center to propagate the faith and work with NGOs to protect new believers from oppression.
